Garmond and Zaza

Overview

Garmond and Zaza are two NPCs first revealed in the Hollow Knight: Silksong announcement trailer, embarking on a quest to find a new home. Garmond serves as the chatty rider, while Zaza charges ahead as the steadfast mount.

They appear during the trailer's "New Quests" segment, racing through a dim corridor latticed with curved metalwork as Hornet vaults over them and they barrel through a cluster of foes, punctuated by Garmond's spirited shout.

A later developer post described the duo more fully: Garmond is boisterous and talkative, whereas Zaza may well be the brains of their partnership.

The pair also lends Hornet a hand against the Moorwing, though the exact manner of their assistance remains to be seen.
